Terms and Conditions

 

Preamble: These General Terms of Sale (“Terms”) govern all purchases made on www.rugroyal.com (“the Site”), operated by:

By placing an order, the user (“User”) becomes the “Buyer” and accepts these Terms without requiring a physical signature.
These Terms apply to all non-professional Users purchasing through the Site.

The applicable Terms are those in force on the date the order is placed.

 

Art. 1 – Purpose

These Terms define the rights and obligations of the Parties for the online sale of products offered on the Site, from browsing to order completion.
If any provision becomes invalid, applicable Hong Kong distance-selling principles shall apply.

 

Art. 2 – Products & Prices

2.1 Prices: All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable VAT depending on the delivery country.
RugRoyal may update prices at any time; however, the price displayed at checkout is final.

In case of an obvious pricing or descriptive error, RugRoyal may cancel and refund the affected order.

2.2 Crossed-Off Prices: If a product displays a crossed-off price, it represents an estimated market value provided by suppliers and is for reference only.

 

Art. 3 – Ordering Process

3.1 Navigation: Users may browse the Site freely without commitment.

3.2 Account Creation: To place an order, Users must provide accurate personal data and maintain confidentiality of login details.

3.3 Order Placement: To place an order, Users must:

• add items to the cart

• provide accurate billing and delivery information

• accept these Terms

• complete payment

3.4 Order Validation: By clicking “Pay”, the Buyer confirms the order.
Payments are processed securely by third-party payment gateways; RugRoyal does not store card details.

3.5 Order Confirmation: The Buyer receives a confirmation email with all order details and estimated dispatch times.

3.6 Order Cancellation: Buyers may cancel their order within 24 hours, provided the order has not yet shipped.
If the order has already shipped, cancellation is no longer possible, but the Buyer may request a free return after delivery according to the Return Policy.

Custom-made or personalised items may not be cancelled once production has begun.

3.7 Withdrawal / Return Rights: Buyers may request a return within 30 days of delivery (see Return Policy).
Custom or personalised items may only be returned if defective or incorrect.

 

Art. 4 – Coupons & Vouchers

4.1 Coupons: Coupons may be offered during promotions and must be entered during checkout.

4.2 Conditions: Coupons may require minimum purchase amounts and may have expiration dates.
They cannot be applied retroactively.

4.3 Refunds for Orders with Coupons: If an order is refunded, the coupon value is proportionally deducted from the refund.

4.4 Vouchers: Customer service may issue vouchers for specific cases.
Vouchers are non-refundable and valid for the period stated upon issuance.

 

Art. 5 – Payment

5.1 Accepted Methods: Payments are accepted via:

• Visa

• MasterCard

• Bank transfer

5.2 Payment Validation: An order becomes final once payment is confirmed.
RugRoyal reserves the right to refuse orders in case of fraud suspicion or unresolved disputes.

5.3 Fraud Prevention: RugRoyal may request identity verification.
If verification is not completed, the order may be cancelled and refunded.

 

Art. 6 – Availability, Shipping & Delivery

Details are available in the Shipping Policy.

• Most in-stock items ship in 1–3 business days.

• Out-of-stock items display estimated availability dates.

• Delivery times depend on destination and carrier.

6.1 Delivery Issues: Buyers should check parcels upon delivery.
If damage is visible, Buyers should take photos and contact customer support within 48 hours so RugRoyal can file a carrier claim.
This does not limit the Buyer’s legal rights regarding defective goods.

6.2 Customs & Duties: Import duties (if applicable) depend on the delivery country.
Unpaid duties may cause delivery delays or returns.

 

Art. 7 – Returns

Returns follow the Return Policy.

7.1 Return Window: Buyers may request a return within 30 days.

7.2 Return Cost: Returns are free of charge for eligible items.

7.3 Refunds: Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–30 business days after inspection.

7.4 Exceptions: Custom-made, personalised, or special-order items may only be returned if defective or incorrect.

 

Art. 8 – Data Protection

Personal data is processed according to the Privacy Policy and in compliance with GDPR where applicable.

Art. 9 – Guarantees & Responsibilities

9.1 Product Information: Product images are for illustration purposes; minor variations may occur.

9.2 Defective Products: If an item is defective or incorrect upon delivery, RugRoyal will arrange repair, replacement, or refund at no cost.

9.3 Liability: RugRoyal is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, or force majeure events.

 

Art. 10 – Partial Invalidity

If any clause is deemed invalid, the remaining Terms remain enforceable.

 

Art. 11 – Intellectual Property

All content on the Site is protected by intellectual property rights.
No reproduction is permitted without prior written consent.

 

Art. 12 – Entire Agreement

These Terms and the order confirmation form the entire agreement between the Parties.

 

Art. 13 – Duration

These Terms apply as long as products are offered for sale on the Site.

 

Art. 14 – Force Majeure 

RugRoyal is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
If delivery becomes impossible, a full refund will be issued.

Art. 17 – Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
However, Buyers retain the rights granted by the mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence.
